The
23rd Annual Preventive Medicine
Board Review Course
will be held at the Hyatt Crystal City
(VA) August 14-18, 2010.
The five-day, 40-hour Review Course, which
offers a source of lifelong learning
credits toward American Board of
Preventive Medicine (ABPM)
recertification, covers all areas of the
ABPM certification examination. Sessions
on Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health
Services Administration, Occupational
Medicine fundamentals, Environmental
Health, Injury Epidemiology and
Prevention, Clinical Preventive Services,
Chronic Disease and Infectious Disease,
and Behavioral Medicine form the core
portion of the course. The specialty
portion of the course is spent in breakout
groups for Public Health/General
Preventive Medicine, Aerospace Medicine,
and Occupational Medicine.

Need a Refresher?
The first two days of the Preventive
Medicine Review Course will be offered as
a "Weekend Refresher" course. Sessions
include a five-hour Biostatistics review
and a three-hour Epidemiology review.
Other one-and-a-half to two-hour core
classes are also included.
