College of Preventive Medicine (ACPM) respects
your right to privacy. By visiting this site,

IP Addresses
An IP (Internet
Protocol) address is a unique identification
number that is assigned to a computer. Networks
route data, via TCP/IP (Transmission Control
Protocol/Internet Protocol), based on IP
addresses. ACPM may collect and log IP address
information but will not match it with records
containing personal information, except to
identify users in order to protect ACPM’s legal
rights or if required to do so by law
enforcement authorities. ACPM may keep IP
address information to properly administer its
systems and to gather aggregate information
about visitors to measure usage of various
sections and make improvements to its website.

Cookies are
small data files placed on the hard drive
browser files of computers to automatically
identify individual browsers to ACPM’s server.
ACPM may use cookies in its website to make the
user experience more robust and convenient. Most

can change their browser settings to prevent the
acceptance of cookies. Collecting information
from cookies does not allow ACPM to personally
identify users.
E-mail Communication
When general
inquiries are received by e-mail, ACPM stores
the questions and the e-mail address information
so responses can be made electronically. Unless
otherwise required by statute, ACPM does not
identify publicly who sends questions or
comments to its sites. Users should be aware
that e-mail sent to ACPM might be seen by a
number of people.
Use of Identifying
Information
All personally
identifying information collected will be held
in confidence and is collected only with the
users’ permission by choosing to participate.
ACPM reserves the right to analyze information
collected for evaluation and improvement of
ACPM’s online educational activities but will
not share personally identifying information
with any other organization.
