  • The American Journal of Preventive Medicine (AJPM), the peer-reviewed journal, published twelve times per year, features original articles and reviews.
     
  • ACPM HEADLINES, our electronic newsletter, highlights recent happenings at the College, developments in preventive medicine, and ACPM member activities.

Annual Meeting:

  • Preventive Medicine 2010
    This meeting will be held February 17-20, 2010 in Washington, DC and will concentrate on five primary issue areas: Public Health, Prevention Policy, Quality Improvement/E-Health & Informatics, Clinical Preventive Medicine, and Career Development.  For more information on the meeting visit www.preventivemedicine2010.org.

Education:

  • Preventive Medicine Review Course
    The only comprehensive review course for candidates taking the ABPM boards, will be held from August 15-19, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency in Crystal City, VA.  For more information on the 2009 Board Review Course click here.   • Graduate Medical Education
    ACPM supports post-graduate preventive medicine training through publications, workshops and advocacy to expand residency-training funding.

    ACPM actively and aggressively represents the interests of Preventive Medicine on Capitol Hill.

    ACPM members represent the College and the field on numerous national scientific task forces, committees, and coalitions.

Networking:

    ACPM has developed a message board to give active members an opportunity to exchange ideas and network on a daily basis.
     
  • Mentoring Project
    ACPM’s new mentoring program will help link younger ACPM members with experienced preventive medicine physicians.  Information on this project is located under the members’ only section.

    www.acpm.org has been upgraded to include information on member services, education programs and meetings, employment opportunities, legislative issues and residency programs.
     
  • Conference Calendar
    ACPM's online interactive calendar provides up-to-date information on events and conferences of particular interest to ACPM members. The calendar features an interactive menu, allowing you to receive e-mails or text messages on your cell phone with event details, and to add the event to your choice of several major calendar services, including MS Outlook and Apple iCal. You can even choose to extract the ACPM-specific events with a simple click of a mouse, and subscribe to the calendar feed via RSS.
     
  • Medscape Public Health and Prevention Headlines
    ACPM's home page features an RSS feed from Medscape, highlighting the latest in public health and prevention news.
