U.S. Preventive Services Task Force
Recommendations:
Routine screening for bladder cancer
with urine dipstick, microscopic
urinalysis, or urine cytology is not
recommended in asymptomatic persons. All
patients who smoke tobacco should be
routinely counseled to quit smoking (see
Counseling
to Prevent Tobacco Use).
